Webber’s
Challenge
On December 2,
2003, the Wachusett Coalition for Choice welcomed Susan
Webber, former president of the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus,
to discuss the coming elections. The meeting offered a great opportunity to
strategize with Susan on what we can do now to build a solid pro-Choice
community in
Central
Massachusetts. We all agreed that our most important task is the identification
of pro-Choice voters, particularly new and newly registered voters. In honor of
the thirty first anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Susan challenged
us to identify
3,100 such voters in Worcester County. We accepted that challenge. For details on our voter ID phone banks, see “Voter ID. We Can Do It.” Our thanks to Susan for sharing her knowledge and insight with us.
